Lux Marble Trend

The Luxury Print : Marble

Ever season theres a new print on trend and for spring its usually your typical florals. Why not change it up this s/s with a swirly black and white motif: The Marble Print. The stone has always been related to Luxury.

Its stunning, bold, contemporary and chic and who better to show us how its done then Alexander Wang for Balenciaga, his first collection for the fashion house and what better way to start it then working the marble print into his classic white tee. He knows how to start a trend, the stones natural and neutral hues of black, grey and white offers a modern touch to your wardrobe.  But lets not forget about Jil Sanders amazing marble print back in SS09 or Kenzo in AW12.

Some other cunning showings from designers of the print on the SS14 runways were: Robert Rodriguez, Phillip Lim, Rachel Comey and Peter Som.  The moody stone cold print is on everything this season from dresses, leggings, handbags, shirts and iPhone cases. And it doesn’t just stop there, this trend is predicted to continue well into AW14/15. BCBG and Mission put there own edge to the print in there AW14 runway shows.

This trend doesn’t have to end at the typical monochrome style, if your looking to add more colour to your closet look at Phillip Lim and Rachel Comey’s collections.
